The EarthOnDrive referenced ECW/JP2 SDK is now a fully up-to-date release that provides support for reading and writing ECW and JPEG2000 file formats in all of our third-party applications. The highlights which we have included in our WavGen Pro latest release includes mobile platform and license tier for Android, iOS and WinCE, expanded platform support for MacOSX for Desktop/Server licenses, and many bug fixes and performance improvements to be used on latest render and workstatin technology.
The new ECW/JP2 SDK adds support for ECW v3, which supports all data from 8-bit to 16-bit data, RPC, statistics, histograms, and much more in the new ECW file format. This new ECW/JP2 technology also supports ECWP v3, which faster than ever. In addition to ECW/JP2 and ECWP changes noted above, this new technology will decode JP2 faster that ever. As the savvy connoisseur of very good file formats will note, JPEG 2000 otherwise known as JP2, supports variable bit-depths from low 6-bit all the way through to 32-bit. And this means our technology can go high dynamic range with the new ECW/JP2 technology, supporting integer, floating point, as well as signed and unsigned (all IEEE support guaranteed).
