The number of OGC members in Europe now exceeds the number of members in North America or any other world region. European companies, agencies, research centers and universities have played and continue to play a critical role in the development, product implementation, and market adoption of OGC standards.
OGC European forums, interest groups and project activities work to promote the development and use of advanced open systems standards and techniques to enable the full integration of geospatial data and geoprocessing resources into mainstream computing and widespread use of interoperable, commercial geoprocessing software throughout the global information infrastructure. The EU Forum represents the European-based membership of OGC in membership organisations/associations in Europe with similar vision and mission to that of the OGC, including agencies, collaborators and affiliates of the European Commission.
OGC's European activities promote interoperable geoprocessing in Europe based on OGC's standards and principles for architecture, OpenGIS Specifications, and on software engineering development processes that use standards-based, commercial-off-the-shelf (SCOTS) products. The EU Forum assists European organisations in supporting, monitoring and managing programs where interoperability is a focus or an inherent requirement. And the EU Forum facilitates enhancement of OpenGIS specifications by identifying requirements and recruiting initiative sponsors and participants from Europe for OGC activities including global test beds and pilots and specification working groups.
In Europe, the Open Geospatial Consortium (Europe) Limited (OGCE) was formed in 2001. It is organized and operated as a non-stock, not for profit company limited by guarantee under The Companies Act 1985 of England and Wales and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. OGCE's purpose is to support business in Europe on behalf of OGC's mission, goals and objectives, as required in various situations. However, most activities among OGC members in Europe do not directly involve OGCE.
Developers of the first real-time ray-tracing and global illumination Texturing Solution based on wavelet theory, WavGen Pro allows computer graphics users working with Maya 2017/18 and 3D Studio Max 2017/18 3D the abilithy to model, render, and animate literally terabytes of imagery and thousands of hypershade nodes. WavGen announces new and updated plugins for Linux, OSX, and Windows, that further integrate wavelet technologies with Autodesk’s line of 3D modeling, rendering, and runtime applications. We now have exporter plugins for work flows in gaming (Unity, Scene Graph, Unreal, Cry..
EarthOnDrive has put together a team of electronic & systems experts, remote sensing and photogrammetric software engineers, and signal processing engineers, and has developed the Drone Swarm Mapping technology, consisting of 40 UAV Drones, able to mount thermal SWIR and FLIR and Color camera sets onto a mapping grid of over 1 Mile by 1 Mile.
Projects that we will be deploying our swarm mapping technology on are mining and mineral mapping, large solar panel cluster assessments, griding technologies, construction site analysis, industrial on-site assessment and analysis, infrastructure p..
Tererra Incorporated has integrated newest hardware technologies together with custom operating system enhancements to deliver an accelerated storage solution that is very cost effective. Many companies would like to invest heavily in 10G, 40G, 56G and 100G network topographies in 2018. This customer demand also requires a cost effective storage solution which can handle these speeds. Switch manufacturers are making this a cost effective investment with newest pricing strategies and affordable switches and network cards. Storage manufacturers however, are not effectively targeting customers th..
The Tererra Network provides enhanced ISP services, and provides a single fully integrated connectivity solution. The Tererra Network is a world spanning Ethernet/IP network that runs over our privately managed network infrastructure along with its other network products including StratofLash storage, Stratorender GPU rendering, SDN/MPS, Ethernet and Wave Division Multiplexing services.
The Tererra Network works as a community of interest network, enabling all its members to predictably control the distribution of data delivery between customer sites in a way that would otherwise only be ac..
