Elevation Data

Digital Elevation Models (DEM) are a crucial ingredient in a great number of GIS and modelling applications. Furthermore, stunning 3D visualisations and animations of the earth can be produced by merging DEM data with Earth Observation Imagery.

EarthOnDrive offers very high resolution DEMs with a variety of grid postings and formats. Elevation Data can be provided area-wide for large parts of Europe and for many regions worldwide. We also offer hypsography data, LIDAR data, and XSAR data, over many cities yielding Digital Building Models.

Depending on source data availability (e.g. ASTER, XSAR SRTM, Ikonos, Worldview, Cosmo-Skymed) EarthOnDrive can also offer the production of high accuracy elevation data from anywhere in the world. Furthermore, DEM data from your own sources or from the public domain (e.g. SRTM) can be used by EarthOnDrive on your request to enhance area coverage and reliability of height information.

If you want to place an order or if you are not sure, which combination of data sources will be perfect to match your application?s requirements, we invite you to contact our experienced customer service to receive appropriate assistance. Services provided include recommendation of the most appropriate data for a specific application, data searches in source image and DEM archives, programming requests for new acquisitions, as well as ordering and delivering the digital data in a variety of raster, gridded, scalar, and vector formats. All images acquired via Terramapper may be used directly by the user or may be input to further processing by Terramapper, as described in the Solutions and Services sections.
